Call of Duty Warzone renames "Border War" skin after criticism on promoting anti-immigration sentiment.
The skin has been renamed to “Home on the Range” in it's recent update. Its description has changed to, “Play along with the deer and the antelope with the Home on the Range D-Day operator skin” instead of the original description, “show them the error of their ways and make them pay with D-Day’s Border War operator skin.”
The update has also fixed an issue where players could pick up weapons they dropped before the infil sequence, Rytex AMR firing issue and other minor bugs.
Recently, the title removed an “OK” gesture after criticism on how closely connected it was to the white supremacist movement. In early June, developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision Blizzard said, “There is no place for racist content in our game.”
Call of Duty Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale available on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
