Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War MP5 nerfed in new update

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War MP5 has been nerfed in a new update, with developer Treyarch suggesting that players should try out any other weapon in multiplayer as a result.

Treyarch wrote on Twitter:

We’ve reduced the base effective damage range by 33% and adjusted the initial recoil for Submachine Gun Alpha. Now get out there and try the other four!

Players applauded the MP5 for its range, rate-of-fire and stability. The gun’s a little less than perfect at this time, but an overall lesson for Treyarch to properly balance all in-game weapons.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Series S and Windows PC.
