Do you feel as though you need to break up the monotony of work? If so then this is the guide for you. Here you will find numerous ways to change up your routine, so you can make your life a little bit more interesting.

Change your Commute

If the daily journey to your office is just a bit too long, or if it’s tiring and frustrating then going to work is going to be an arduous task in itself. If you are tired and frustrated by the time you get to the office, you’re probably not going to perform tasks to the best of your ability either. If you want to do something about this then one thing you need to do is look for an alternative route. Find roads where congestion isn’t an issue, and if possible, cycle to work. You can also take note of where existing landmarks are, so you can freshen your mind and break up the monotony a bit.

Revamp your Workspace

Make some changes to your workspace if you can. Ask your boss to see if they can give you a new cubicle to work on, or talk to them about exchanging desks with a coworker. Changing the place you work will help to give you some new perspective on the tasks at hand and it will also help you to make changes to how things on your desk are arranged. Little things, like bringing a picture of your loved one or even a potted plant can help when you are a little down in the dumps and unmotivated, so keep that in mind.

Set New Goals

If you don’t challenge the standards at your current place of work then there’s a chance that your career is going to feel dull. It’s best if you work toward something, which could be career development or even personal learning. Think of all of the areas in your life that could be improved and then set goals to make a change. If you can move towards a goal or an objective then this can help to make work exciting and it can also help to make the boredom go away.

Take a Vacation

Do you feel a little bored at work? Maybe you feel as though nothing is fixing your current situation and you want to make a change. Either way now is the time for you to take a break. A vacation in a new location is the best way for you to complete your work tasks efficiently and it helps to break up things a little. Sometimes a week away is what you need to lower your stress levels a bit too, so keep that in mind.

Play a Game

Are you sitting around your office with absolutely nothing to do? If so then why not play a game? The great thing about playing a game is that it takes your mind away from the stress you may be experiencing at work. If you want a game to play, then this dinosaur game is ideal.
