EA opening new open world studio in Seattle

EA has opened a new open world studio in Seattle that will be led by former Monolith VP and Studio Head, Kevin Stephens.

A new report suggests that Stephens will be joined by former Monolith President, Samantha Ryan, who recently served as EA Senior VP and Group General Manager.

Kevin joining forces with Samantha and the incredibly talented teams at Electronic Arts adds even more depth to our creative collective.

Kevin is an exceptionally talented game developer leader and we look forward to supporting him while he builds his team. As someone known for his open world action-adventure games, we know players will be eagerly awaiting more details on this new studio and its projects.

Stephens has worked on titles like Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth Shadow of War.

No further information was revealed about the new studio but we'll report back as we learn more.
I know it'll never happen but it would cool for someone to try making a sort of GTA rival. There's not many proper open world games to do whatever you want
Great! Now they can release more half-finished games that pander to whatever the flavor of the month is. ;)
