Vox has been doing some fantastic work recently, particularly in the anti-poverty sector.
Also, I had no idea that California is home to 30% of the whole US homeless population. I realise California is large, but it is a gigantic statistic.

Most homeless people arrived quickly, without a decent buffer time to assist them weather a financial storm.

- A quarter were unable to get necessary medical medications.
- Two-thirds had a chronic health condition that required care.
- 12 percent had hallucinations.
- One-third spent the night in prison. During camp raids, many people lost valuable items like as papers.
- Many people have been victims of violence, including sexual assault.
- Finally, additional housing and improved access to mental health and addiction therapies are recommended.
