Hitman developer IO Interactive is in the process of developing a new James Bond game titled Project 007.
The developer confirmed that Project 007 is “in active development at IO Interactive’s offices in Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmö, Sweden,” with both locations “recruiting elite talent from around the world” to assist in its development.
Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, said:
It’s true that once in a while, the stars do align in our industry, creating an original Bond game is a monumental undertaking and I truly believe that IO Interactive, working closely with our creative partners at EON and MGM, can deliver something extremely special for our players and communities. Our passionate team is excited to unleash their creativity into the iconic James Bond universe and craft the most ambitious game in the history of our studio.
The game is “powered by IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier technology” and produced in collaboration with MGM, EON Productions and Delphi.
We’ll keep you updated on Project 007 as we learn more. The title is planned for “modern systems and platforms.”
