2023 has been an amazing sporting year. Sports fans have been treated to a variety of games, some producing shocking results. Luckily, 2024 will take off from where 2023 left off, with many top games lined up in January. So, as you plan your New Year’s resolutions, here are some exciting games to help you settle into the year.

English Premier League

The 2023/24 English Premier League season has treated its fans to a real spectacle since it kicked off in August 2023. Several teams have surprised fans with their performances, making it hard to predict match results. Some games feel like playing slots on Wildz Casino NZ, as the outcomes seem based on luck rather than strategy. Nonetheless, fans have enjoyed the games.

Some interesting EPL matches to come in January include Manchester United hosting Tottenham Hotspurs at Old Trafford on Sunday 14 January. This will be a match where Erik Ten Hag’s man will want to exert revenge on Postecoglu’s men, who beat them 2-0 in the reverse fixture in August.

Another interesting fixture will be between Liverpool and Newcastle United. Eddie Howe’s men want to cement their spot among England’s top four teams, and beating Liverpool at Anfield would show they are serious about their intentions.

African Cup of Nations

The African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2024 will offer 24 teams a chance to compete for a chance of being crowned Africa’s top team. All eyes will be on Walid Regragui’s Morrocco after their semi-final in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Other teams fans will be watching include Ghana, Senegal (reigning champions), Egypt, and Nigeria.

Next year’s competition will be the 34th edition as the best African football talents face off. In the round of qualifiers, 48 teams were divided into 12 groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group qualified for the 2024 finals.

Other top teams gracing the tournament include Angola, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and Namibia. Football fans can expect some top-notch football matches during this competition.

2024 Dakar Rally

Rally fans will kick off 2024 with the 46th edition of the Dakar Rally to be held in Saudi Arabia. The event will take place between 5 and 19 January 2024. It consists of 12 stages, covering a distance of approximately 5000 kilometers.

The rally kicks off at Al-Ula and ends in Yanbu, with the route featuring multiple terrains such as tarmac, gravel, rocks, and sand. Furthermore, participants and their vehicles will face stiffer competition with new competition and tech aspects being introduced.

Conclusion

As we look ahead to 2024, the sporting calendar is already buzzing with excitement, offering a blend of football frenzy and rallying adventures. Whether it's the unpredictable twists of the English Premier League, the national pride on display at the African Cup of Nations, or the thrilling, gritty challenge of the Dakar Rally, January is set to deliver a riveting start to the year for sports enthusiasts. 2024 might be a year of sporting triumphs and unforgettable moments.

This is a fucking Joke. The title of the thread, a thread on a video game forum, heavily implies that this thread with be discussing new games coming out in the first month of 2024. I open the thread and no games of any kind not mentioned at all, it all about sports, expect it's not. Alex bring up sports just so he can work in yet another plug for a Casino. This is fucking disgusting! That is literally his reason to post these "articles".

Joyfreak is not forum anymore. It's free billboard to be exploited by spammers and scammers. All of this made possible by a pathetic mod team who couldn't care less about integrity. Seriously @Aries , are you OK with this? Are you OK with somebody who is supposed to be an editor and journalist for your website abusing his position to plug affiliate links into his so-called "articles"?

Alex along with most of the "people" who post on this forum are laughing at you. You're so desperate for posts you will leave spam and scams up on the forum threads without removing those posts, thier links or anything. Sure, you ban the accounts, but not deleting that content is an invite for associates of those accounts to come on the forum and bump those spam and scam threads or even re-post them all over again.

This is why so few real people actually post here anymore. Nobody wants to post on a forum whare anything they say will get bumped down by an account buying scam or a "journalist" peddling gambling. Joyfreak is dead, and I'm done with this.

How can you say that brother? Means many community are engaging on these websites so it doesn't look like that they are dead.

You really are one ignorant little shit, aren't you? Forums tend not to live long once they get overrun by bots, spammers and scammers. You are part of the problem and you aren't even aware.

These so called good communities that suddenly decide they don't like someone, hand out a ban and then send people to make the experience even worse

Those communities ?
