What is the goal of Pikmin?

The main goal in Pikmin, a real-time strategy puzzle video game developed by Nintendo, is to help Captain Olimar collect the missing parts of his crashed spaceship. He crash-landed on a mysterious planet and must use the native plant-animal hybrids called Pikmin to retrieve these scattered ship parts within 30 days. The Pikmin come in three colors: red, yellow, and blue, each with unique abilities. Red Pikmin are resistant to fire and strong in combat, yellow Pikmin can be thrown higher and carry explosives, and blue Pikmin can survive in water and throw other Pikmin across it. By directing these Pikmin, players explore levels, overcome obstacles, and recover the ship parts to escape the planet. Additionally, in Pikmin 4, the goal is to collect Sparklium, a resource found in various items of “treasure” to power your ship’s radar and find your way home.
