Most people say that if you are at or above 30 FPS you can play the video game smooth without having any issues. But do you think that is true and have you ever tried it? How many frames per second do you consider to be proper for a normal gameplay experience? Do you think anything beyond 60 FPS is not necessary?

It pretty much depends on the game. If you are playing a video game like GTA V, The Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider or something like that you don't need all the FPS in the world, 40-60 will do the job. But if you are playing a shooting game, especially one like CS:GO, you aim for the maximum frames per second your machine can provide. I once locked my FPS to 60 in CS:GO and it was a terrible experience. But it's not a heavy game and most PCs can easily hit at least 200 FPS in that game.
