Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking for some new games to play on my iPhone, and I’m curious—what are your favorites right now? I’m open to pretty much anything: casual, RPGs, strategy, or even something niche. Bonus points for games with great graphics or unique gameplay!

Also, do you think mobile gaming is getting closer to console-quality experiences, or is it still mostly about quick, pick-up-and-play titles? Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

Cheers!

Mobile gaming sucks, and it always will. I don't mean to be such a Mr The-Glass-is-Half-Empty, but year after year we just see the same, miserable, freemium dross from mobile gaming.

Fair point, Shagger. Mobile gaming definitely has its fair share of freemium junk, and I can see how that gets frustrating. But I feel like there are some exceptions out there—games that really push the boundaries of what mobile can do. Stuff like Genshin Impact or Dead Cells feels way closer to console quality, at least to me.

Do you think mobile gaming will ever get better, or is it stuck in this loop of freemium games forever?

No, we are stuck in this loop of freemium garbage when it comes to mobile. In fact, I think it's only going to get worse abs will further infect PC and console gaming as well. The concept of buying games traditionally as it typical on consoles and PC is becoming more and more alien, especially to younger people who have grown with this "freemium" stuff normalised. They just don't see how bad it is because they can't understand how it used to be.

It's like that old proverb about the frog and hot water. If you're not familiar with it, here's how it goes. If try to put a frog in hot water, it'll jump straight out. If put the same frog in cold water and heat it up gradually, the frog will just sit there and slowly boil to death.

It's the same with gaming. If a gamer from 20 years ago just jumped forward to today and saw how games were being marketed and sold, they would know this was hot water, but we have been slowly boiling this whole time with the industry pushing it's luck bit by bit. Slowly normalising practices we would never have accepted years ago.

I don't even post politically charged content on here nor anywhere else. You do, literally all the time. If you have something relevant to the topic by all means do so, otherwise piss off, hypocrite. Stop trolling me and leave the fuck alone.

I know you're a little baby crying because nobody, especially myself, is paying any attention to your right-wing rhetoric on the YouTube thread, but hijacking other threads that have no connection to politics at all is just childish. Take your new buddy Carlos and go cry together in the corner.

Sorry interrupted your speech, something about mobile gaming vs a lump of coal?

You didn't interrupt anything. I typed out what I wanted to type in relation to the topic at hand. When I had typed out everything I wanted to mention on the topic, I clicked the little icon that says "Post reply" then it was posted on the thread. It was literally impossible for you to interrupt me... you moron.
