Hello everyone

Im SegamasterTim

The reason for my name is because......I used to work for Sega here in Australia during the console wars as a game counselor...you know...if you got stuck on a game...you called me :)

I do most of my work on Twitter so you can find me there on Segamastertim

I have done many interviews around the globe talking about my time there and yes...it was as amazing as you could imagine.

If you have any questions, just ask...Im more than happy to answer :)

Here is one of my favorite interviews with Retro Man Cave...I really enjoyed his interviewing style.....

Once again thanks for having me

SegamasterTim

Hey All,

I'm Gaz. I was contacted by the person running JoyFreak. I own a news aggregate site called GameOnDaily (www.gameondaily.com). Anyone can submit their own content or content from other websites there :) Its designed to help content creators (be they developers, budding streamers, Youtubers or journalists) get more exposure. Here's a video of me in desperate need of a haircut!

I play on everything but mostly on PC these days. I'm super excited for the next gen consoles.

I just completed Doom Eternal and loved (almost) every second of it. I hope to get to know you all soon. Loving this site's format and super clean nature of it!

Hi Everyone

Im not sure if this is the right way to introduce myself as I cannot start a new thread until I have 5 replies (so I pressed reply).

I have never been a gamer and haven't played games since I got a Nintendo Gamebooy back in the 90s and my Commodore Amiga. I've just bought a gaming laptop for my work which, given the lockdown, isn't happening so I wanted to find out about PC gaming for me and mainly for my 5 year old who is quickly getting bored of being home!

I'm sure games have changed in the last 25 or so years so looking forward to learning and getting stuck into something new....hopefully with your help! :)

Many thanks

Zigs

Hey, everyone.

I'm Max. I'm 25 and I like playing games.
I have a small gaming channel as my hobby(don't worry, not here to promote myself).
I've been playing games pretty much all my life, but never was good at making friends online.
That's why I'm here, to meet some interesting people and hopefully make some friends to play games with.

Hi!

I am a university teacher and am looking for advice. I have about 100 students (all in different from two universities in Asia and six universities in Europe) in my online class who work in teams of 4 on group work tasks. (So about 25 teams.) The students do not know each other and are randomly assigned to the groups is to make sure that no team has two students form the same school and there is at leats one Asian participant. Virtual team work is of course unusual for students who are used to do group work face to face in class. Many groups do not work well together.

My theory is that in a virtual setting students lack social interaction.

My solution is to ask students to play a cooperative online game in their group of four and compete with the other groups for who gets the most "points" or whatever. My hope is that this makes teams interact outside the university tasks and have fun together thus improving the groups work.

My students are about 60% female and 40% male. Nationality wise they are 30% Asian (based in two locations Asia) and 70% European (based
in 6 cities in Europe).

I am looking for advice on which game I should "assign" them. The games should be:
1) Cooperative between the four team members.
2) Competitive between teams allowing teams who do well to make that visible to the rest of the class. (e.g. leaderbord or similar).
3) It should not be a non-violent (shooter or similar) game. (I know difficult but these are my schools rules.)

Optional there should also be a clan option where all my 25 teams can join my clan.

Please help me find good games! Preferably these should be for free. But I guess my school may find some money if needed.

Best
Argenfels

Hello guys!

Gaming for countless hours that I became a new element, Guanium.
As Guanium is a brand new element, even scientists are baffled of what properties I have.
So, the question arises, when will Guanium finally be an element in the periodic table? 🤪

I used to be a hardcore Dota 2 player and eventually quit it for the greater good. However, I am still playing various steam games such as Wuppo Definitive Edition, Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition, Just Cause 3, Styx Master of Shadows, Cities Skylines, AoE III and CoD Warzone (just a newbie in the warzone).

Not the best place for this question to get answered but, since this game was released in 99 I feel like if your computer is relatively new (5 years old even) it shouldn't have an issue with this game :)
From what I found online for requirements any computer in the last 10 years should easily play this

System Requirements: Pentium 90 MHz, 16 MB RAM, Win95

Hello, I am new here! Sometimes I come here to see people's commentaries and thoughts, finally decided to join as well. In the first page there was the link of this thread so I thought it would be nice to introduce myself.
I am an adult person (sadly not anymore in my 20's haha) but I like to enjoy playing games sometimes :)
I don't have much time to play anyway, but when I decide to relax and go in another world, I prefer adventure games, even if I like all kinds of games, like arcade, one of the first that I played and made me like the gaming world :)

Hi Dan, do you have a controller already? Also what kind of computer do you have? (Windows or mac?) Depending on what kind of system you have the steps will differ. Also, what kind of controller are you trying to link to your computer? PS3/PS4 Controller, XBOX or a generic plug and play off-brand controller?

Hey all! I'm back. I was a part of the old Joyfreak community and decided to re-register on this new iteration. :) It looks really cool! Very easy on the eyes and easier to read IMO.

A little about me:

I'm Smokey, 28 from NYC. I'm a gamer, webmaster/forum admin and a streamer on Mixer.com :) I'm in an amazing relationship with my girlfriend Nikki for 4 years now and things are going pretty well. :) If you wanna know anything more just ask. :)

Hello! I'm a PC gamer with a passion for turn-based strategy games since Heroes of Might & Magic II.

In 2016, a couple of friends and I have founded a Steam community dedicated to the genre. It snowballed and now we count nearly 6.000 members, we provide a weekly report of the new releases and announces, we run a Steam curation page and a Twitter account, and we maintain a large database of games (700+). Feel free to visit us!

Steam group: Steam Community :: Group :: Turn-Based Tactics
Games database: Steam turn-based games database by TBT

Hi everyone.
I'm Marcello, I'm from Italy and I have a blog and a youtube channel dedicated to turn-based strategy and RPG games. Nice to meet you :giggle::giggle::giggle:
