That's really unfortunate. It also speaks volumes that Riot deleted a thread about it to cover it up.
Ring-0 means it runs as long as the system is running. I can see why that would cause everything to crash.

That's a big no no, you don't want something running all the time, no quicker way to make the PC master race than doing something like that.
