Ubisoft resets passwords after a "cyber security incident"

Ubisoft has changed passwords across the board, after a "cyber security incident" that targeted the publisher.

Although service in certain titles was affected, the problem appears to have been targeted on Ubisoft rather than any of its consumers.

In a statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft said:
Last week, Ubisoft experienced a cyber security incident that caused temporary disruption to some of our games, systems, and services. Our IT teams are working with leading external experts to investigate the issue. As a precautionary measure we initiated a company-wide password reset.

Also, we can confirm that all our games and services are functioning normally and that at this time there is no evidence any player personal information was accessed or exposed as a by-product of this incident.

I just read about Ubisoft resetting everyone's passwords after that recent incident. It's a real bummer, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I know it's a hassle to go through and reset passwords, especially if you're like me and have a million different accounts to manage. Honestly, this kind of thing makes me think about how important it is to keep our stuff secure.

Like, I recently started using a password manager to keep track of everything. It makes life so much easier and more secure. Plus, changing your passwords regularly is always a good idea. Speaking of security, I've been diving into reverse engineering tools lately.
