Sony was already facing challenges satisfying demand for the product, but shortages have been exacerbated by scalpers reselling large quantities of the console at significant mark-ups, keeping it out of the hands of consumers and in turn damaging pivotal software sales. Let's discuss.

It's definitely a problem right now but hopefully in a few months, stock levels will be back to normal and people won't have to rely on these god awful scalpers to get one

The whole problem could have been solved if they had extended pre-orders and tied them to unique credit cards.
