A new Star Wars film will be written and directed by Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor Ragnarok), Disney has confirmed.
Waititi will be working alongside Academy Award nominee, Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917, Last Night in Soho) on the screenplay.
Furthermore, Disney has confirmed that a new Star Wars TV series is also in the works, currently developed by Leslye Headland (Russian Doll, Bachelorette). This will mark the fourth Star Wars TV series; this and The Mandalorian are joined by a Cassian Andor series that takes place before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and another following Obi-Wan Kenobi, set between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
