Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2? Which is better?

These two games are similar in many ways, but have a few key differences. Which approach did you prefer? The open-endedness of SA1, or the more focused SA2?

I think second version seems to be better in terms of the graphics and also properly done game.
