Hearing from multiple sources that Rocksteady pitched a Superman game to WB as a follow up to Arkham Knight, and WB passed on the project.

Judging how similar this feels to the “New Gotham” section of Arkham Knight, this could be for that.

As long as it's not a remake of Superman 64, go for it, honestly. The Rocksteady Batman games have been incredible, and while I struggle to contemplate how the mechanics would translate to Superman's character, the potential for some other superheroes is remarkable.
