Um, no. I absolutely disagree.
If they remake it, they will George Lucas the hell out of it. This is a giving, considering all their remakes since 2019 had so much left out or outright altered.
Shinji Makimi, ( no longer with Capcom and cut his hair in disaproval of RE4 being ported to PS2 ), Literally stated,
the GCN is as good as it could get on a console ( when it was GCN v. X-BoX v. PS2 ). Yes there is a PC port of the game,
and RE4 has been ported even to phones ( speaking of which there is a game of that RE CGI movie on the phone ).
Yes I agree that RE4 the remake is terrible. The lines have been changed, Ada Wong ( and the rest ) sounds like garbage.
Everything is garbage for all I care
It always surprises me how people overlooked RE2 having cut content and so on, yet they can ignore that and bash RE3 until the cows come home. When, really. Why is it okay to talk smack about only RE3?
People "talk smack" about RE3, remake because they did not make Jill look like Jill out of her Cop-Uniform. Like a woman. They made Jill look like garbage. I mean ugh. You do a comparison of Jill from RE1 GCN to RE3
Remake and it becomes unplayable. It is like Aeris/Aerith from FFVII. They gave her a hook-bill-nose. All the other characters look sweet including Barret, but Aeris is now a pugly bleh. It is like somebody in Japan
had a western girlfriend from college and time went by and her nose grew and curved over. Barrets hair is also questionable, because they gave him corn-braids ( Advent Children ) rather then a managed high-top, and
that being said made him less pleasable. Point being is that even in Advent Children her nose was not bleh. With Jill this is the problem,
as with Lara Croft, not bieng based on her model ( the real life model ) but being the idea of bleh.
You see, RE2 the original is on a pedestal. A lot of fans never took a shine to RE3 in the year 1999. Some 21 years later, what changed? Nothing.
RE2 greatness is because the game takes place in a real life setting. That was extremly realistic. Also while the game takes pointers from "Terminator 2" ( elevator slash scene ),
among other films, it also gave us "Bike Culture" to videogames via the female character. So it was extremly relateable for many people. Your the cop or the counter-culture-girl.
Not military, not extremist, not some tweens running around in "Zombies Ate My neighbors" but actual regular people in a regular scenario.
But RE2 2019 ain't the "masterpiece" that fanboys make it out to be.
It does not matter because people got another remake, another scenario of RE2. First on the PSX, then Dreamcast, then
N64/PC, and various mods. Even the Demo of RE2 was remade from the ground up by "fans".
