Quentin Tarantino confirms he won't direct a Star Trek movie but wants it made

Quentin Tarantino wants to see his Star Trek movie made but has confirmed he won’t be directing it.

Tarantino said:

"I think they might make that movie, but I just don’t think I’m going to direct it. It’s a good idea. They should definitely do it and I’ll be happy to come in and give them some notes on the first rough cut."

In December, Tarantino admitted he was 'steering away' from the project.

Tarantino tells Deadline, the idea is still viable but it won't be him bringing it to life onscreen.
