From PS5 SoC Die Shots Reveal RDNA 1.1 GPU and Zen 2 CPU Cores w/ Cut-Down FP Units | Hardware Times

The Zen 2 CPU cores on the PS5 are a bit surprising. It looks like the Floating Point Pipeline has been cut-down into 128-bit units rather than 256-bit which is the standard with both Zen 2 and Zen 3

PS5 CPU wouldn't beat a PC desktop Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.

On a side topic, AMD has building blocks for the Intel Alder Lake clone for BiG.little multi-CPU core configuration.

BiG.little multi-CPU core configuration is a popular configuration in most ARM-based SoCs.

PS5 CPU reduced FPU resources towards Haswell-like dual 256-bit AVX FP design.

From Intel Core i9 9900KS processor review
Core i7 5960X is Haswell-E with 8 cores

Cinebench R20 (raytracing) scores multithread
Intel Core i7 5960X = 2932, it's limited to dual AVX FP units with max 3.5Ghz clock speed turbo. Core i9-9900KS has 5 Ghz all cores

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X = 4760
AMD Ryzen 7 3800X = 4965

Intel Core i7 5960X is 61.6% of AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.
