A Virginia man authorities describe as a "White supremacist" and "an advocate for pedophilia" is facing charges in California and Colorado for traveling across the country to kidnap a 12-year-old girl, officials said Saturday.

Nathan Daniel Larson, 40, is in Denver County Jail on a misdemeanor charge and faces felony charges in California for the kidnapping that authorities say utilized such "sophisticated" grooming methods that they fear there may be more victims.

In a statement, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said Larson operates a website "which encourages the raping of children and sharing of naked photos and video of children being raped."

Larson met the girl, who lives in Fresno, on social media in October, the sheriff's office said. Through two months of "manipulation and grooming," Larson convinced her to send him pornographic images of herself, the sheriff's statement said.

Last week, he flew to Fresno and persuaded her to sneak out of her house around 2 a.m.

"Due to the sophisticated nature of how Larson groomed this Fresno girl, detectives believe he has victimized other children in the past," the sheriff's office said.

This is not the first time Larson has faced serious criminal charges. In 2009, he served 14 months in federal prison for sending "a detailed email to the U.S. Secret Service threatening to kill the President of the United States," the Fresno Sheriff's Office said. Larson sent the email in December 2008, when George Bush was the outgoing president and Barack Obama was the president-elect.

Years after his prison sentence, Larson ran for the Virginia House of Delegates as an independent in 2017 and lost, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

In 2018, the Washington Post reported on Larson's support for "abolishing age restrictions for marriage and laws against marital rape," legalizing incest, and his views on White supremacy "as a 'system that works'" and that "Hitler was a 'good thing for Germany.'"

May Nathan Larson rot in jail for eternity.

The worst part about this is his father attacked the agents who came to the door and was arrested for assault. Given that they'd go to those lengths to protect their son, I have a feeling that they were either complicit in this or are trying to hide some horrible stuff from the cops.

Nathan groomed a 12-year old girl into sending photos of herself and kidnapped her. That means there's probably a huge amount of incredibly illegal stuff on his computer, too.

I feel nothing but sympathy for the victims of this monster. And all I hope is that he goes to jail for his crimes.

What a disgusting human being, I certainly hope he gets the jail time he so desperately deserves. To view a child in this way is disgusting, to ACT on those views is beyond depraved, and to operate a website that encourages these things and offers pictures as proof? There are thing I would like to say about him that are just not appropriate. He needs to go away, and he needs to be gone for a very, very long time.

That his parents would stand up for him like that is also disturbing, makes you wonder what on earth is going on there...

Unfortunately, the best we can hope for is life with parole. (Let me just say that I'd want this man to spend life without parole, so that he gets what he so richly deserves in prison.)

What really pisses me off about this whole thing is how long it took the FBI+other agencies to arrest this guy. They knew he ran a website about sick shit, and they knew that his political goal was to legalize child pornography because he admitted it himself. Even if he didn't actually commit crimes before the kidnapping (which I seriously doubt), they should have put him on a watchlist or something. But they did nothing.

It actually took him kidnapping a 12-year old (who is probably scarred for life now) for the agencies to throw his ass in jail. That's utterly unacceptable, and shows how broken the justice system really is.

I forgot to mention this, but he had a 3-year old daughter when he was running for office. A 3-year old daughter in this man's custody.

Luckily, his daughter is living with his grandparents and he no longer has custody, but the mere thought of any child living with this man makes my skin crawl.

I had no idea he had a 3 year old daughter, now I feel horrible for that child! I hope he never touched her, but given his proclivities...I just hope she's safe for the rest of her life from this disgusting person. Role on prison justice, please.
