Nintendo, Lego teaming up to bring something new

Nintendo and Lego have announced they are teaming up to bring something new.

It’s-a me, LEGO Mario!” also advising that consumers “stay tuned” for more.

Nintendo already has a deal a Lego competitor, K’Nex, so it may be that the announcement pertains to the license switching hands. It could also mean that Lego is being worked in to Super Nintendo World theme parks planned for both Universal Studios Japan and also in Orlando.

This is an interesting announcement. I mean, isn't this the best of both worlds? Growing up, I can tell you that I personally loved playing with Legos, and I also loved playing my Nintendo 64. Now they're going to put both of these things together? Awesome!

I am curious what type of games would come from this though. If it's something unique, I'm for it. If it's literally just taking your typical Mario story lines and flipping it into a Lego world, then I'm not sure how I feel about it. I guess we'll see.
