Ah! The bitey dust clouds after aground pound from the first video are the ancestor of the Mario Maker giant boot ground pound mechanic. Did they appear somewhere else in another game or did they use an unreleased prototype mechanic as a more than obscure reference when they implemented it? :unsure:

A Pokemon MMO would've been interesting, but probably an absolute nightmare back before the modern era of gaming. As for the rest of the leak, it's pretty impressive someone managed to access and compile the source code for all of this, most definitely.
 
I'm impressed Nintendo has kept such a treasure trove, there are so many games much younger than these that have had their source code lost to time. This is truly a preservationists dream come true!
