Naughty Dog to rename Outbreak Day due to COVID-19

Naughty Dog will rename the The Last of Us’ celebratory Outbreak Day due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the studio has declared.

Naughty Dog wrote on Twitter:

For the last 7 years, September 26 has been our opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible passion of The Last of Us community. However, as we thought about the events of the last year and the challenges we all continue to face, we didn’t feel right continuing on under the ‘Outbreak Day’ banner.

As such, September 26 will simply be The Last of Us Day.

The Last of Us Remastered and The Last of Us Part 2 are available on PS4.
