Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, alongside Xbox Game Pass, on 27 July 2021, the publisher revealed during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 2021 showcase.

There was no mention of the originally announced Xbox One version, which appears to be cancelled in favour of the title being Xbox’s first current-gen exclusive.

You can check out gameplay footage of the game running on Xbox Series X, below.

The news came alongside an upcoming free expansion based on Top Gun: Maverick, the 2021 sequel to the original 1986 film starring Tom Cruise, coming as a free update in the fall.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on Windows PC and heads to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on 27 July.

I might have to get my hands on an Xbox Series X just for this, Forza, and potentially Sea of Thieves. I've always loved flight sim but have never been able to play it

It would be interesting to see if they can use it. I would assume certain things are not realistic so it might be an issue
