Mafia Definitive Edition has been delayed until September 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, 2K and Hangar 13 have announced.
In a statement, the duo said:
Finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience.
The title is now set to release on September 25; it was originally scheduled for August 28.
A 15-second teaser (below) was released today as an apology for the delay, along with the news that an extended gameplay look will be offered on July 22.
The Definitive Editions of Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 are available standalone and bundled with Mafia itself as part of the Mafia Trilogy bundle. Two-thirds of that are available on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
