LG adds Apple TV app to LG TVs in over 80 countries

LG Electronics will be adding Apple TV app to its smart LG TVs in over 80 countries.

LG TV owners will be able to subscribe to Apple TV+ via the app, a subscription streaming service. Subscribers will be able to access Apple Originals like The Morning Show/Morning Wars, See, Servant and Little America.

“LG continues to offer the latest in home entertainment experience through technological innovations that support the delivery of high-quality viewing and user convenience. By bringing the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ to even more TV models, we are once again demonstrating our determination to meet consumers’ needs and add value to our products.”
Apple TV app will be included in all LG 2019 OLED TVs and LG SUPER UHD TVs (series SM99, SM94, SM90, SM86, SM81). It will later support selected UHD TVs including series UM76, UM74, UM73 and UM69). Apple TV app will be available on 2020 TVs at launch and will later be added to 2018 TVs with a firmware upgrade.
