If those that are into drugs can swallow it inside the body just to smuggle it into another country, then I don't think there is anything that can't happen.

However, the guy that did this seems really smart and must have gotten away with it on previous occasions before today.

I think those who are into addiction of any form eventually pay the price. But they end up hurting the people around them. And that can be pretty bad thing for many who are being forced to tolerate those sort of people. God saves the world from addiction issues.
