On certain fronts, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 triumphs. Even though it is a lot more recent game, the sequel's more vivid, intricate sceneries can't compare to this remastered version's. However, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 also veers much more toward a cutesy anime aesthetic, and neither its music nor its voice acting can compare to that of its predecessor.
