Yes, Mortal Kombat 2 is currently being filmed! Production began in June 2023 in Australia, but it was paused in mid-July due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Fortunately, filming resumed in mid-November and officially wrapped up on January 21, 2024. The sequel is scheduled for a theatrical release by Warner Bros. Pictures on October 24, 2025. Exciting times for fans of the franchise!
