Been lurking here for a while, huge gamer my whole life. Lately, I've been getting this real itch to actually try game development, not just playing games. Simple stuff to start, obviously.

Thing is, I just hit 30. Seeing all the amazing things people create, sometimes it feels like everyone started way younger, like in their teens or early twenties. It kinda makes me wonder if I've missed the boat, you know? Is it realistic to even think about learning programming and engines and all that starting now?

Just looking for some honest thoughts or maybe experiences from others who started a bit later. Am I being silly worrying about this, or is it a genuine hurdle?

Appreciate any insights. Thanks!
