Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) will be moving from Sydney to Melbourne in 2020 and will headline the Melbourne Esports Open event, announced by ESL and TEG Live.

IEM Melbourne will be taking place from 22-23 August 2020 at Rod Laver Arena with a total cash prize of $250,000 USD to the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from around the world. There will be a chance to win an additional $1 million USD as part of the Intel Grand Slam, a prize for the first team to win 4 out of 10 ESL and DreamHack Masters-level.

ESL’s Michal ‘CARMAC’ Blicharz:
Australian Counter-Strike fans are second to none, and when we had the opportunity to bring IEM to Melbourne, to headline the Melbourne Esports Open, it was a perfect fit. Australians have always generated atmospheres that could not be matched by anything else. Coming back for 2020 was a top priority, and the Melbourne Esports Open was a natural match. It will open Intel Extreme Masters to a broader audience and provide CS:GOfans a richer event experience.
All IEM tickets will offer ground pass access to the Melbourne Esports Open 2020 with a choice of IEM Arena Single Day Ticket, Weekend Ticket, Weekend Premium Ticket or Global Elite tickets.
