How do you feel about subscription services like Xbox's Game Pass?

Xbox's game pass currently is another subscription service offered for "free" downloading of games. I signed up for the $1 deal after E3. I must say, the collection of games is at least a year behind allowing new games to be bought (my observation, might be incorrect) but the selection is pretty cool. Specifically, it has Xbox Backward Compatible games all the way up to Mortal Combat 10.

How do you feel about these subscription services? What value do you find in them? Do you feel they are disruptive to the gaming industry? Have you ever tried any of them?

For the fact that the subscription gives you the opportunity to pick older games is a good idea of Xbox. This gives each gamer the right to play games that they've enjoyed in the past.
