New Coronavirus Infection of an Employee of the Company

On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, it was confirmed that one employee of the Company (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) has tested positive for a new type of coronavirus infection. The employee in question is currently being admitted to a medical facility under the guidance of the competent health department and a physician.

Since the end of January, we have been working to prevent infection among our employees by reviewing face-to-face meetings, banning overseas travel, recommending staggered commuting, and encouraging employees to wash their hands, gargle, and wear masks. In addition, as of Wednesday, April 1, all employees will work from home in principle.

We have received guidance from the competent insurance office that since the employee in question has not come to work since Thursday, April 2, other employees do not fall under the category of persons in close contact with the company, and there is no need to temporarily close the office.

We will continue to take prompt action in accordance with government policy to prevent the spread of infection internally and externally and to ensure the safety and health of our customers, business partners, employees and their families.
