Free Xbox Series X up for grabs in Xbox Hall of Fame

A new Xbox Hall of Fame competition will commence in October, offering a chance to win a number of Xbox Series X consoles based on achieving a high Gamerscore or besting challenges.

Microsoft said:

Entry into the Xbox Hall of Fame, an Xbox Series X, and other great prizes are waiting. Each participating country will have eight Hall of Fame inductees and prize winners, so take your shot at greatness. Simply register below with your Gamertag, check out the categories, and play to win. Registering also gives you a chance to win a 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The UK has been confirmed as a participating country alongside some of USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Sweden. In addition to Xbox Series X consoles, hoodies and trophies are also up for grabs and will help you to assert your spot as a member of Xbox’s gaming elite.

There'll be a number of categories to participate in, including Gamerscore earned during the Xbox One’s lifecycle alongside a Gamerscore sprint in October 2020 and challenges in Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4. Most categories are due to end on October 19, but others will conclude before that.

Considering this is their best console yet I can see how it will indeed be noted in some type of hall of fame. There's never been an Xbox with more processing power and graphic capabilities in all of history.

This is a most interesting approach for Microsoft, generates interest and gets people excited to start playing right away. Should be interesting to see how this works out.
