Fortnite Season 10 might mean those with older graphics card will need to upgrade

With Fortnite Season 10 on the horizon, Epic Games has seen fit to increase the games minimum specs as a result. Which might be bad news for those of you currently running Fortnite on older graphics cards. The use of a DirectX 11 graphics card will go from being a recommended requirement to an absolute requirement for Fortnite Season 10, a per an official update from Epic Games.

"While a DirectX 11-capable graphics card has always been one of Fortnite’s system requirements, we’ve kept support online for players with older graphics cards – so they could keep playing!" explains Epic. However, when Season 10 begins, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. This allows us to focus our development and testing efforts to further optimize the Fortnite experience for all players."

However in reality, you're probably not going to need to fork out some hard earned cash unless you've been living on with a barebones PC for a long while as compatible cards stretch all the way back to 2009, meaning there is a good chance you've already got the hardware needed. You won't even need to worry about going broke for the month either if you do need to spring for an upgrade, which is always good news.
