The people behind the ever so popular video game Fort Nite has acquired the video chat app Houseparty.
Houseparty is fairly new to the gaming world but they were already dipping their toes in it when the interest of Epic Games, Fort Nite creators, were peaked. They said people playing Fort Nite were already using the app to chat with others while playing Fort Nite, among other games.
Epic Games saw a drop in its (new) userbase so they're hoping this will help them recover.
What do you guys think? Honestly, I haven't heard of Houseparty before Fort Nite acquired it.
