Church Stays Open Despite Orders From County Officials

Victory Christian Center Incorporated is a local church in Erie that is continuing in-person services despite orders to cancel from Erie County officials.

“If and when the governor the chief executive of the state tells us to close our doors we will do that. If Kathy Dahlkemper wants to speak with me directly, I will speak with her," said Bishop Dwane Brock of Victory Christian Center Incorporated.

On Tuesday, the Erie County Department of Health confirmed there are 16 positive cases of coronavirus in Erie County. This number has nearly doubled since last week, which is why Erie County executive Kathy Dahlkemper is urging all church leaders to close their doors despite being listed as essential.
