Do I need to play Dark Souls before Elden Ring?

Elden Ring is a game that I would without question, recommend to more or less everyone so that they can experience easily one of the best games of the last ten years, and arguably the best conceived and realised open world map in the history of video games. Well, I'm here to tell you that if you have no or negative experiences with Souls, that should not affect your decision to play Elden Ring. Well, I'm here to tell you that if you have no or negative experiences with Souls, that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild aren't even in the same league as it, in my honest opinion.
