Ragnarök was released two months ago. This topic was posted after the holidays so folks could finish the game.
Reviews don't bother me. My friends/companies claim it's good? Cool. Likely.
My experience with Ragnarök differed from the reviews for the first time in a long time. The game has three problems.
Pacing
Though the Atreus/Angrboða portion was criticised, it's not the only issue.
I'm not the first to remark game lags.
Exploration
I nearly hated Vanaheim's forest. Finding hidden goods is hard, and you end yourself wandering in circles. You also retrace since teleportation portals are few. I hated that segment. I preferred Vanaheim's secret area.
Liberty
2018 seems more open than Ragnarök. It has more...promise than Ragnarök?
I played 2018 parts during the holidays and it seemed like the beginnings of a large universe.
Unfortunately, Ragnarök appears to have closed that sensation.
Reading the evaluations, something seems odd.
Despite playing 2018 three times, I won't replay it.
