Craving The Sims? The Sims 4 is free for a week on PC/Mac

EA has announced that the hugely popular The Sims 4 is now currently available for free for one whole week. The game can be downloaded at no cost for both PC and Mac users via the Origin store until Tuesday 28th May. That should give you more than enough time to grab a copy of the game and get your 'sim' on.

However, don't get too excited because this free offer only extends to the base game and not any of the massive expansions or item packs that you can purchase separately. Originally released way back in 2014, The Sims 4 has continued to receive a stream of free updates over the years, with some updates including pools, basements, and some Lunar New Year content. Just last month for example, the game saw the ability for Sims to freelance as a career added in.

In addition to the updates given out by the good people at Maxis (The Sims developer), there is also a slew of paid expansion packs you can purchase to up your simulator experience, with a whopping 27 additional packs available to purchase. To top it all out, there is an active modding community for The Sims 4 online in which you could probably find whatever mod your heart desires. In addition, Maxis also recently confirmed that three more packs will be coming within the next six months.
