Inside Kimpton’s home, agents say they found 47 guns, 4,503 rounds of ammunition and two bump stocks. Agents also found 43 guns, around 19,260 rounds of ammunition, three bump stocks and tactical equipment inside a storage unit. Agents said six of those guns were bought using Kimpton’s PayPal scheme.

During their investigation, agents said they found evidence Kimpton researched “bump stocks" 11 times, along with the term “bump stock lawsuit.”

Agents said part of Kimpton’s internet search history included the 2015 Charleston church shooting that killed nine parishioners at Mother Emanuel AME Church. He also searched the deadly Florence County shooting that killed two law enforcement officers, as well as the Santa Fe High School shooting in 2018.
