Shortly after the delay of Cyberpunk 2077, mass firings happened in CDP, which dealt with the game's distribution in our country. A day later, the company denied the news of imminent bankruptcy in a message to our editor - a bit too early, it turns out.
After Cenega took over publishing duties for CDP Red's game, CDP found itself in an even more difficult position. According to Puls Biznesu, the company filed for bankruptcy with the court, which decided to secure its assets, thereby terminating the activity of the oldest Polish distributor. CD Projekt has existed since 1994 and is one of the pioneers of the Polish gaming market - it was thanks to them that at the turn of the century rich editions of high-profile productions and localizations became standard; we also owe this company numerous budget series that have saved our home budgets for years. In 2014, however, there was a management buyout and since then the paths of CD Projekt and CDP have diverged; the company has also had no relationship with the cdp.pl store and Klabater for a while.
