Capcom personal data compromised in cyberattack

Capcom has recently been involved in a cyberattack, meaning that the company's personal data may have been compromised.

The attack took place on 2 November and has potentially compromised “maximum of approx. 350,000 items” including names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdates, gender information and email addresses of customers.

Recently, the company has confirmed that personal information of employees past and present, including HR information, may have been compromised alongside sales reports and other financial information. Shareholders’ identification numbers have also been compromised.

Capcom has advised customers to get in contact if they’d like to “inquire about personal information that has potentially been compromised”. Head here for support contacts.

I have reason to believe the hackers are hiding something from us. ;)

Titles such as....

* RE9: As scary as fine wine.
* RE9: As scary as fine wine Gold Edition.
* RE10: Nobody can even ken.
* DLC for RE10 where you play, as me.
* Silent Hill 10, 11 and 12.

Capcom bought the rights to the franchise. :)

Nah. I am kidding. But I more or less expected to see something like that, considering all the Ultra Editions, and money grabbing tactics they employ. :D
