Capcom has implemented a company-wide work-from-home or stay-at-home policy beginning today through Wednesday, May 6, due to COVID-19.
This decision comes just a few days after Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe issued a state of emergency across seven prefectures, including Osaka -- where Capcom's head office is located -- and Tokyo.
However, that state of emergency does not require companies switch to work-from-home set-ups, merely advises it.
Earlier this month, Capcom said that the company had a confirmed case of COVID-19 among its employees, and had taken measures including reviewing employee movements to see who had made contact with the person afflicted, considering stay-at-home orders, and disinfecting the office.
