Call of Duty: Mobile is a new free-to-play mobile game coming to both iOS and Android that will bring a large collection of maps, weapons and characters from the various games in the Call of Duty franchise. The game will be a standalone mobile title that brings everything from previous games including Black Ops and Modern Warfare into one “epic experience”.

This will mean that gamers will be able to experience the thrill of playing as iconic characters from previous games including Ghost and Thomas Merrick on their favourite maps including Nuketown. Fan favourite game modes will also be in the game including team deathmatch, search & destroy and free-for-all.

For some, this won’t be the first time the name Call of Duty: Mobile will have been mentioned as the game was originally created with Tencent as a game for Asian countries, where console gaming is less popular. But with the first beta arriving in the summer of this year, it seems the game will finally be arriving in the West.

Call of Duty: Mobile will be developed in collaboration with Tencent, who you may already know as the company that has connections to Epic Games. The developers have previously been relied on for the mobile version of both Fortnite: Battle Royale and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. And similarly to those titles, Call of Duty: Mobile will also rely on the Unity game engine.

The game will have a number of pre-launch Betas before the full launch, which will require interested users to pre-register and will help the developers with optimizing the experience and fine-tuning different aspects to ensure the game is near perfection when released.

If you love Call of Duty or are keen to give the mobile version a try, make sure to pre-register your interest in the open beta on the official website which will also help you stay up to date with the latest news, opportunities to join future beta testing sessions and have the chance to earn in-game rewards. Gamers on Android can also pre-register on the Google Play Store which will be an easier process, with pre-registering on the App Store coming very soon.

A launch date for the mobile game is yet to be confirmed although users have been treated with a new trailer for the game, which hints at a Battle Royale game mode coming to the game. At around 0:19 in the trailer, you will be able to see a number of helicopters about to drop players into the map, a sight many gamers will be used to having played the Battle Royale game mode on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Will you be pre-registering to try out the open beta for Call of Duty: Mobile? And are you looking forward to playing it?
