Blizzard now owns any custom games made in Warcraft 3: Reforged due to their amended Custom Game Acceptable Use Policy.
PC Gamer was the first to notice the amended Custom Game Acceptable Use Policy giving ownership to all custom games and mods.
This policy applies to all custom games or mods created within a Blizzard game giving the developer the right to shut down any attempt to break mods off into a standalone version of the game.“Custom Games are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Blizzard. Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Blizzard all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Games, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Games.”
Warcraft 3: Reforged is available on Mac and Windows PC.
