Beyond simply being a simulation of the show, Big Brother: The Game will also have a 'life-changing prize fund up for grabs'. Players will become virtual housemates over a series of Big Brother where they will have to make tactical choices to emerge victorious with these prizes. Endemol says that it will be a game of social, psychological and interpersonal skill.
There will be two different modes available to players when the game launches later this year. The first will be as a spectator which will be free with various IAPs on offer, though I'm not sure what those will be yet. The second is, of course, to become a housemate, which will require the player to purchase a Token. There is no word on how much this will cost just yet.
He added: “The player will face competitions, chores, nominations, evictions and have to navigate all the same complex social relationships and intrigue that make the TV show so compelling.”
