Almost 800,000 applications for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit had been processed as of midnight last night, the Canada Revenue Agency says. It says they're being processed at a rate of about 1,000 per minute.

Update: Federal government says it received 966,000 applications for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit Monday. It says the total number of claims dating back to March 15, which includes employment insurance claims, is 3.67 million. It says over 3 million have been processed.
