10 Best Tips to Make Gold on Old School RuneScape

Fans of the original form of RuneScape were relieved when it was revealed a few years ago that dedicated servers will be created solely for that kind of play. As a consequence of this development, there have been a slew of different tips and methods for earning some serious cash in Old School RuneScape (OSRS), therefore I've chosen to compile a brief list of 10 of the finest strategies that you can use to start earning some nice OSRS gold.

1. Pick Up All Gold

You'd think this would be the most apparent, yet it's really the one that most people overlook. While I appreciate that you may not want to go to the trouble of picking up every single piece of gold that an NPC has ever dropped, consider how much gold you may have overlooked over your time in RuneScape. Is it a lot of gold, by any chance? Yeah, I figured it may be. That's why, from now on, you should make a point of not ignoring any gold that's sitting around, since even if it doesn't seem like much at the time, it will add up over time, and you'll feel a little stupid for leaving so much free cash behind.

2. Collect Hide From Killing Cows

The hide that cows like to lose may rapidly add up to be pretty valuable if you go get it tanned, similar to collecting potatoes. It won't take long for you to have them all tanned, and you can sell the tanned skin to others for a significant increase in wealth, and all you have to do is take down any poor cow that happens to spawn near you.

3. Pick And Sell Potatoes

Out of all the alternatives on here, this one appears to be the least engaging and amusing, but if you stay with it long enough, you can make a significant profit. You can make approximately $30K in roughly an hour of collecting and selling potatoes, and potentially much more if you stick at it. While it may not be glamorous, it is a practical method to make money, especially for those of you who are still in the early stages of your career.

4. Use Fletching

Fletching is a terrific method to generate money in OSRS, and it's partly due to the fact that it's not one of those skills that need a lot of levelling to get the most out of. All you have to do to get started is buy some feathers and oak logs in bulk and build some inexpensive arrows in the shape of headless arrows. After that, simply sell some of the arrows in bulk and you've already made a profit!

5. Loot From Flesh Crawlers

This one is for combat aficionados who want to scratch that money-making itch by going after a swarm of Flesh Crawlers in any location they like to battle them. These monsters are known to drop valuable things like runes and herbs, and these items are generally recognised to have a reasonable retail price. While this strategy won't make you millions in the long term, it's one of those tricks for breaking up the boredom of doing anything else when you'd rather be murdering people.

6. Master Item Flipping

Flipping is the process of purchasing an object, either individually or in volume, and then reselling it for a higher profit. One of the greatest methods to accomplish this is to check at some pricing guides online to see how specific products are doing on other worlds, all in the hopes of buying them cheaply in one location and upselling them for a much greater price in another.

7. Sell Items In Bulk

Depending on whether you want to put in the time with other gamers, selling in bulk is a terrific method to transform your efforts into profit. It doesn't matter what kind of bulk collection of products you have since someone will always desire a number of them but won't go to the trouble of collecting them all. In these situations, you can entirely upsell the things as you see appropriate in order to make a tidy profit.

People will try to wean out the price of bulk things a little bit, so do your numbers before selling. Losing 100gp isn't really significant, but if you're losing 5K on every transaction, it rapidly adds up and makes generating money less appealing.

8. Hunt For Clue Scrolls

When it comes to clue scrolls, they can be hit or miss at times owing to how long it takes to locate one every now and then, but they average out to approximately one every 30 minutes - simply by killing random NPCs and praying for the best. When one eventually drops, simply follow it and do what it says, and you will be rewarded with a treasure trove of gold that will not disappoint you.

9. Go Fishing

Fishing is similar to mining in that you don't have to worry about running to another place to get the most out of your product because it's already worth a lot when you receive it. Yes, developing the talent to fish for some of the most valuable things will take time, but so will earning money; before you know it, you'll be selling sharks for a significant sum of OSRS gold.

10. Go Mining

Mining is a noble career, and it is a lucrative one in OSRS. You can only go for iron, coal, and steel when you first start out, but after smithing them into bars, they may sell for a decent price. Once you've gotten a few more levels, start mining runite, which is sure to bring you a lot of money. Just remember to utilise your mining potions; at the very least, you'll earn a higher reward for less effort!
